An organic mattress creates a cleaner, more natural sleep environment by reducing exposure to synthetic foams, fibres and petrochemical-based materials. Since you spend roughly a third of your life in bed, the materials you sleep on matter.
Natural latex comes from rubber tree sap and provides excellent durability, pressure relief, support and responsiveness. Soma uses premium organic Dunlop and 100% American-made Talalay latex in different densities to customize comfort and support. Individual latex layers can also be changed over time.
Wool is naturally breathable, moisture-wicking and resistant to dust mites. It also provides a natural flame barrier, helping Soma mattresses meet flammability standards while reducing the need for synthetic flame barriers.

Yes. Nearly every Soma mattress can be customized independently on each side, allowing each partner to choose their preferred comfort and firmness level.

A properly selected mattress can provide better pressure relief, contouring and support. Soma mattresses can be configured to your individual body and comfort needs rather than taking a one-mattress-fits-all approach.
Most Soma mattresses can be adjusted as your comfort needs change. After a 21–30 day adjustment period, our Comfort Guarantee includes a complimentary comfort exchange within 90 days of delivery. Many models can also be modified years later for a fee.
Soma mattresses use hypoallergenic materials and are an excellent option for people concerned about allergens and sensitivities. Natural materials such as latex, wool and other natural fibres provide a cleaner alternative to primarily synthetic mattresses.
Soma uses third-party certified materials selected to meet stringent safety and quality standards applicable to infants, babies, children and adults. We believe families should know what’s inside the mattress they sleep on.
A hybrid mattress combines a coil support system with comfort layers such as latex. Soma hybrids combine quality coils with latex for responsive support, pressure relief, durability and comfort.
High-quality coils can provide excellent support, contouring and longevity. Soma combines premium North American and European steel coils with latex and substantial layers of natural cotton and wool for support, cushioning and pressure relief.
